For generations of Hinduites, the “Battle of the Hindus” has been far more than just a cricket match. It is a celebration of tradition, pride, friendship, and the enduring bond between two of Sri Lanka’s most respected educational institutions – Hindu College Colombo and Jaffna Hindu College.

This year, that historic rivalry comes to the United Kingdom.

After ten years, old boys of Hindu College Colombo and Jaffna Hindu College will once again meet on the cricket field for a special reunion encounter on:

The Battle of the Hindus has produced many memorable moments over the years, strengthening the bond between Hindu College Colombo and Jaffna Hindu College through healthy competition, mutual respect, and brotherhood. The Battle of the Hindus UK Trophy will be contested in memory of T. Sangaralingem and S. Ponnambalam, whose contributions and legacy continue to inspire generations of Hinduites.

As Hindu College Colombo and Jaffna Hindu College renew their historic rivalry, we proudly honour their memory through the trophy that will be awarded to the victorious team.

CHCPPA UK Squad Announced for the Battle of the Hindus UK 2026

The wait is over!

We are delighted to unveil the CHCPPA UK Squad that will represent Hindu College Colombo in the Battle of the Hindus UK 2026 against our long-standing rivals, Jaffna Hindu College.

This year’s squad truly reflects the strength and unity of the Hindu College family, bringing together old boys from multiple generations. From the 1996 batch to the 2017 batch, players from across two decades have answered the call to wear the Hindu colours and represent our school with pride.

The squad combines experience, leadership, youthful energy, and a shared passion for Hindu College Colombo. It is a testament to the lifelong bond that unites Hinduites, regardless of when they walked through the school gates.

We congratulate all selected players and reserve players and wish them the very best as they prepare for this special encounter.
